Request a Dr Bike

Dr Bike mechanic can fix minor repairs

If you are hosting a street party, play street or community fete, Waltham Forest Council can provide a Dr Bike mechanic who will carry out free bike check-ups for people attending your event.

The Dr Bike team of expert mechanics will check over tyres, gears, brakes and more, and if there’s a bigger problem, they will be able to advise on what’s wrong so that the bike can be fixed quickly and efficiently at a local bike shop.

If you would like to request a Dr Bike mechanic for your community event, please send the following information to roadsafety@walthamforest.gov.uk

• Contact phone number
• Name and description of event
• Date of event
• Location of event
• Start time and end time for Dr Bike
• Can you provide a gazebo, table and/or chairs for the mechanic?

Your event must be open to the general public as the Dr Bike service will be advertised on this website.

Please give at least one month’s notice for your event as we may be unable to accommodate requests at short notice.
