Pop Up Bike Market – Walthamstow

13 August 2015 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Free

We are arranging a series of one-day pop up bike markets in Walthamstow Town Square, Chingford and Leytonstone, through our provider PeddleMyWheels.

The markets provide a safe and trustworthy environment for adults and children to sell their outgrown, unwanted bikes, and buy at affordable prices. It is an environmentally friendly, low-cost scheme to encourage people to get on bikes.

The process is simple - drop off your bike in the morning and label it with your contact details. A mechanic checks your bike over, estimates a sell price and notifies you by email. If you want to go ahead the bike will be serviced and offered for sale to the public during the day along with other bikes. If it doesn't sell on the day you have the option to take it home again or it can be carried on to sell at other markets.

So if your kids have outgrown their bikes, you need a second commuter machine, or want to get into cycling but are struggling to afford a decent bike, the pop up market could be just for you.

Keep checking the Events page for future dates!
