FREE CYCLE RIDES

Take part in our annual cycle ride and discover your borough. Choose between our Bronze, Silver and Gold rides and enjoy a family friendly cycling day out.

This year you can choose between a lead ride perfect for families, sightseeing or cycling newbies, and our Gold race to get the adrenaline and heart pumping or for anyone who wants to fundraise for charity.

To take part in one of the three rides complete our registration form. If taking part with children, you can include their details in your own form, however adults will need to complete their own form.

Two weeks before the event, we’ll be in touch to confirm details and make you aware of any changes. You can also register on the day, registration closes 15 minutes before the race begins and you may be turned away if the race is at full capacity.

Important information

  • If you're bike needs a bit of TLC before the ride, make sure you come early and visit our Dr Bike stand to give your bike the once over pre-race
  • Le Tour de Waltham Forest is hosted at the Leyton Midsummer Festival, so plenty of food and drink will be available to purchase between 1pm and 6pm
  • We recommend that you take refreshments with you for the rides to ensure you keep your energy up
  • When you arrive on the day, visit the check in tent to confirm your place and collect your number. Registration closes 15 minutes before ride starts
  • Don't have a bike? If you do not own a bike but would still like to take part, please let us know on the registration form and a member of the team will contact you

Goodie bags and prizes

Everyone who takes part in Le Tour de Waltham Forest will receive a goodie bag filled with a certificate, medal and cycling goodies, at the finish line.

Cycle for charity

Le Tour de Waltham Forest is a great opportunity for fundraise for your favourite charity in a fun family friendly environment. Why not get a group of you in fancy dress? Or ask family and friends to sponsor you per mile cycled?
