Blackhorse Road junction to Palmerston Road junction consultation results
Between 29 February and 20 March this year, we carried out a public consultation on the Blackhorse Road junction to Palmerston Road section of Forest Road.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the public consultation. All of the comments have been analysed and considered, and have helped us finalise the design for this section of Forest Road.
The full consultation summary including the results and the Council’s response can be downloaded here, however here’s a summary of some of the key results:
- Over 6,000 consultation leaflets were delivered to the local area and two public drop-in sessions were held where over 20 people came to view the plans and ask questions
- In total, 132 people responded to the consultation providing 313 individual comments
- Overall, 59 per cent of respondents were supportive of the proposals, 24 per cent were neutral and 17 per cent were negative.
The plans for the Blackhorse Road junction to Palmerston Road junction section have been agreed by the Portfolio Lead for Environment and Director of Neighbourhoods and Commissioning at Waltham Forest Council.
A works plan will be scheduled and regular construction updates will be posted in the construction section. Contractors will be on site from the end of November 2016 to prepare the area.
